Medical Online, a subsidiary of Omnisurge (Pty) Ltd, is a business in the health and medical industry that markets healthcare and medical equipment.

Ordering Policy
It is fast and easy to establish a Medical Online account. Simply click on the "Setup Account" link. Follow a few simple steps to enter your personal information and establish a unique user name and password.  Once completed, you may place orders online immediately.  On your subsequent visits, simply log on with your user name and password for an immediate account access in order to update your personal information, review order history or to place orders 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. (Kindly note that we are only able to process order requests during normal working hours.)

Even if you still have not set up an account with Medical Online, you may place an order with Medical Online.  Simply browse our online catalogue and add items that you need in the shopping cart.  During the check-out process you will be asked for your shipping and payment information.  Once this information is submitted, your order is processed.

To place an order by phone simply call us at 0861 MEDONLINE / 0861 633 665 463 - during normal working hours.

To place orders by email simply send in your order request to buy@medicalonline.co.za, along with your personal information to respond to.  

Similarly, quotes may be generated online and order placed when you are ready to do so.


Delivery policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 2 working hours. Delivery confirmation with tracking numbers and any backorder details will be sent by way of e-mail, as provided by you during registration.

The choice of delivery methods and destination will affect the shipment date.  Shipping options include the use of sending your parcel via the South African Post Office, and a choice of courier services, or by collection at from Medical Online’s premises.

South African Post
You make opt to send your parcel for delivery to any Post Office nationwide.  This will be to the Post Office counter only.  Parcels will be delivered promptly within 2 - 5 days, depending on the remoteness of the location.  For peace of mind, a Track and Trace system available through link on Medical Online.

Please Note:
  • Transit times are based on working days;
  • For major metropolitan areas the courier delivery time is 2 - 3 days. For regional areas the courier delivery time is 3 - 5 days;
  • Courier service is offered nation-wide within South Africa ONLY;
  • Please expect a delay to outer lying areas;
  • All consignments are packed daily and delivered to the Post Office by 12:00pm daily. Orders received after this time will only be despatched the following day;
  • Parcels are delivered during normal Post Office operating hours (Monday-Saturday);
  • All consignments are subject to the Post Office's Standard Trading Conditions: whereby all goods handled and transported shall at all times be at the risk of the customer;
  • Shipping Insurance is automatically included at 2% on value of goods inclusive of VAT (with a maximum premium of R5000 per shipment), with an access of R500 per claim;
  • Medical Online's offices will send you a Tracking Number for your consignment via Email by the lastest the proceeding morning of despatch;
  • You can easily track your shipping by entering your Tracking Number on the South African Post Office quick track portal: http://tracking.postoffice.co.za;
  • The delivery times are indicative only and Medical Online will not be liable for any failure to observe these delivery times.

Courier Service
Medical Online offers you a choice of three courier services, namely Speed Services, XPS and Taxi Trucks Courier Services.  

Speed Services offers overnight delivery direct* to your nearest Post Office counter.  For peace of mind, a Track and Trace system available through link on Medical Online.

Please Note:

  • Speed Services is offered nation-wide within South Africa ONLY;
  • All consignments are packed daily and collected by 12:00pm daily. Orders received after this time will be despatched the following day;
  • Parcels are delivered during normal working hours (Monday-Saturday);
  • All consignments are subject to Speed Services Standard Trading Conditions: whereby all goods handled and transported shall at all times be at the risk of the customer;
  • Shipping Insurance is included, with an access of R500 per claim;

  • Shipping Insurance is included, with an access of R500 per claim;

Taxi Trucks offers economy nationwide delivery direct to your door.  Parcels will be delivered promptly within 1 - 3 days, depending on the remoteness of the location.  For peace of mind, a Track and Trace system available through link on Medical Online.

The delivery times for the various destinations are as follows:

To Bloemfontein – 24 to 48 hours
To Cape Town – 48 to 72 hours
To Durban – 24 hours
To East London – 48 to 72 hours
To George – 48 to 72 hours
To Johannesburg – 24 hours
To Port Elizabeth – 24 to 48 hours

Please Note:
  • Transit times are based on working days;
  • For major metropolitan areas the courier delivery time is 1 - 2 days. For regional areas the courier delivery time is 2 - 3 days;
  • Courier service is offered nation-wide within South Africa ONLY;
  • Please expect a delay to outer lying areas;
  • All Consignments are packed daily and ready for Courier Collection by 12:00pm daily. Orders received after this time will only be despatched the following day;
  • Parcels are delivered during normal working hours (Monday-Friday) and somebody must be at the delivery address to sign for the parcel.
  • The Courier Service will not accept responsibility (for non-delivery) if there is nobody at the delivery address to sign for the parcel;
  • No deliveries are undertaken on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays;
  • All consignments are subject to Taxi Trucks Standard Trading Conditions: whereby all goods handled and transported shall at all times be at the risk of the customer;
  • Shipping Insurance is included, with an access of R500 per claim;
  • Medical Online's offices will send you a Tracking Number for your consignment via Email by the latest the proceeding morning of collection;
  • You can easily track your shipping by entering your Tracking Number on the Taxi Trucks quick track portal: http://taxitrucks.dynamicdns.co.za/quicktrack.php?action=waybill ;
  • The delivery times are indicative only and Medical Online will not be liable for any failure to observe these delivery times.

Collections
For collections at our premises, our address will be provided on confirmation of order, and when the goods ordered are ready for collection.


Back Orders
If there is no stock available, we will email or phone you to notify you of the problem, and you'll be able to cancel the order or wait for the backorder. Items placed on back order are shipped as soon as they become available.

If for some reason you did not receive the order status, please make sure that the e-mail address provided is correct and that you are not using a spam blocking service.

Return and Refunds Policy

Unless sent in error by Medical Online, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.  In case of an error occurring on the part of Medical Online, we will cover the return shipping costs 100%.

Returned items must be in their original packaging, unopened, and in a resalable condition in order to be replaced or refunded.  

You will receive your credit refund as soon as it is received by our returns department. Credits or exchanges cannot be provided without obtaining a proper Return Authorization Number.

Any return shipments of hazardous materials must be packed, marked, labelled, and shipped in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations governing transportation of hazardous materials.

Before returning any item, call 0861 MEDONLINE / 0861 633 665 463 , Monday through to Friday to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) Number.  Returns made without a Return Authorization Number will be automatically returned to the sender.  At the time of issue of the RA number, our customer service representative will also give you the address of our returns department.

The provision of goods and services by Medical Online is subject to availability.  In cases of unavailability, Medical Online will credit the client in full within 7 working days.  Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a R50 administration fee.


Customer Privacy Policy
Because your credit card security is of high priority for us, we have taken numerous steps to ensure that your payment information is processed confidentially, accurately and securely.

Medical Online shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Payment Options Accepted
Payment may be made via Visa, Master Card, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into the Medical Online bank account, or pay COD at the store for orders collected.

Credit Card Acquiring and Security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for Medical Online by Virtual Card Service (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for ABSA Bank of South Africa. ShopDirect uses SSL3 and credit card information is stored per Visa and Mastercard guidelines on the website. Users may go to www.shopdirect.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.  

Customer Details Separate from Card Details
Customer details will be stored by Medical Online separately from card details which are entered by the client on ShopDirect’s secure site.  For more detail on ShopDirect refer to www.shopdirect.co.za .

Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is ZAR (South African Rand).

Responsibility
Medical Online takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer services and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.


Country of Domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Medical Online chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, PO Box 4200 Edenvale 1410.


Variation
Medical Online may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
